This assignment relates to a video shown in class.
  Key topics discussed: framing, rule of thirds, point of view and leading lines.

Having participated in classroom discussion and viewing the videotape shown in class, begin assignment #2.

Shoot one roll of black and white film (24 exp./ T-Max 100, film provided in class) and illustrate your understanding of:

  • Natural framing
  • Leading lines
  • Rule-of-thirds
  • Birds-eye and worms-eye view
  • Plus any type of shot that you had problems achieving 
    during assignment #1

Be sure to keep a sharp eye on your light-meter!

Produce six prints that best illustrate the assignment.  All prints should also possess superior print quality (i.e. full tonal range, clean borders, no spots or scratches of any kind, etc.).
