Project:  Produce a highly inventive color-wheel.  The color wheel will be used as a study guide, which we will refer to repeatedly throughout the course of the year.  Be sure to incorporate a wide variety of tints into your wheel (view samples below).  After creating a color wheel, turn the paper over and produce the following line-blends:

1. A color to it's compliment 
2. Analogous line blend 
3. Black to white
4. Free form

We will discuss and view samples in class.

Specific Grading Criteria:  

• Is the overall design inventive?
• How effectively has medium (watercolor) been manipulated?
• Have a variety of tints (color plus water) been integrated into the overall design?
• Are colors and line blends labeled correctly (primary, secondary, tertiary, etc.)?
