Project:  Working from a printed image (self-portrait), use your knowledge of proportion and value to create a maximum sense of depth in your drawing.  Create background imagery that is autobiographical (i.e. if your in to baseball; be inventive with baseball equipment).  The background should help create a sense of mood and illusion of deep space.

Specific Grading Criteria:  

• Are proportions believable?  Is the size of each object related to every other in the composition?
• Is there a sense of good composition and fullness to the drawing?
• Is there a believable sense of volume to each of the forms (i.e. shading).
• Is the light source consistent on all objects in the composition?
• Is there an autobiographical quality to the finished work (background imagery)?
